Our waste lithium-ion battery recycling process recycles precious metals such as lithium and cobalt by collecting, sorting, and chemically or physically treating waste batteries. This process significantly reduces the demand for virgin materials, reduces environmental pollution, and improves economic benefits. In addition, you will use our lithium battery recycling equipment during this process. If you want to learn more about recycling lithium-ion batteries, read on. On July 14, 2024, a customer from France asked us how to recycle waste lithium-ion batteries and wanted to cooperate with us. Of course, in the end, we happily signed the contract.
How do French customers recycle and dispose of used lithium-ion batteries?
Recycling and disposing of used lithium-ion batteries is a complex process involving multiple steps. Since we understand the needs of French customers in detail, we have customized the following process specifically for them. If you want to recycle lithium batteries, you can consult us.
First, the collected batteries will be sorted and preliminarily inspected to remove contaminants and non-lithium-ion batteries. In addition, the batteries need to be discharged to ensure safety in subsequent steps.
In the initial stage, the battery first undergoes a crushing or pulverizing process, which uses our YS-150 pulverizer and YS-50 shredder to break the battery into fragments of about 20 mesh, making it easier to open the battery shell and make the valuable materials inside easier to process further and separate. Then it enters the sorting stage, at this time, the crushed materials will undergo a series of fine separation processes, including a YS-100 circular vibrating screen, a YS-150 magnetic separator, and a YS-50 specific gravity sorting equipment. The application of these devices is designed to effectively separate valuable metals in batteries, such as cobalt, copper, nickel, and lithium, as well as other non-metallic materials.
How much does it cost for French customers to recycle used lithium-ion batteries?
The cost of recycling used lithium-ion batteries is affected by many factors, including recycling technology, processing scale, geographical location (transportation and labor costs), etc. The total cost is about $18,000.
