Lithium battery discharge and cooling process

How to discharge lithium batteries? First, you can use a conveyor to feed the charged lithium-ion batteries into the equipment for discharge. Then, the discharged batteries will fall directly into the discharge cooling box, which is equipped with a mesh belt conveyor for material transportation. In addition, during the transportation process, the materials will pass through the water tank, and the battery will be discharged and cooled by water. For lithium batteries of different shapes (soft pack, cylindrical, etc.), discharge devices with different processes can be made.

Needle discharge

You can feed the charged lithium battery into the gap between the needle roller and the groove roller through the feeder. Through rotation and extrusion, the steel needle attached to the needle roller pierces the inside of the battery, causing a short circuit between the positive and negative poles, thereby releasing energy consumption and achieving the purpose of discharge. In addition, the gap between the two rollers can be adjusted to meet the discharge needs of different types of lithium-ion batteries. This lithium battery discharge equipment is mainly for 3C product batteries such as soft packs and plastic hard shells.

Rolling discharge

The charged lithium battery is evenly fed into the groove roller through the feeder, and rotates between the groove roller and the rolling roller. The blade attached to the rolling roller will cut the battery shell, causing the positive and negative electrodes to short-circuit, thereby releasing energy and achieving the purpose of discharge. In addition, by adjusting the gap between the two rollers, the discharge requirements of different types of lithium-ion batteries can be met. This equipment is mainly for cylindrical lithium-ion batteries.

Activated carbon adsorption equipment

The flue gas generated during the discharge process enters the activated carbon adsorption box through the induced draft duct. The adsorption capacity of the surface of the activated carbon adsorbent is used to adsorb the pollutants in the exhaust gas on the surface of the activated carbon so that it is separated from the gas mixture. The activated carbon adsorption box is a dry exhaust gas treatment equipment, which consists of a box body and an adsorption unit filled in the box body; the filtration air volume of the activated carbon adsorption box is 15000m³/h.
